I LOVE to go to parties … especially holiday parties. The ones that are the most fun are always the “Secret Santa” parties. Well this year, I was invited to a Secret Santa party … blogger style!
The recipient of my gift is Meegan from What Meegan Makes. I took some time to get to know Meegan and her taste in holiday decor. I quickly learned that she incorporates a lot of cream, aqua and red in her holiday decorating. She loves to style vignettes, and every flat surface is filled with beautiful holiday treasures.
I wanted to create something that was timeless, and that she would be able to use with just about any holiday decor style. Off I went to my fabric stash! With a few cuts here, and a few stitches there, in no time I whipped up a beautiful Joy Noel Tablerunner for Meegan.
The step-by-step is way too long and detailed to add here in the post, so I’ve prepared a FREE downloadable pattern for you! Click on the image below to open.
One of the hardest parts of designing a pattern is giving it a name. But this one was easy. The inspiration for “Joy Noel” came from the gift I received from my Secret Santa … Tami Michel from Curb Alert!
Tami made these ornaments from pieces of birch branches. I love them! They are the perfect addition to my winter cabin decor in my guest bedroom. Hope on over to Tami’s blog to get the full tutorial.
I loved being able to make a gift for someone so special to me, and being the recipient of a gift. This is the season for gift giving, and handmade treasures are always the best!
