Ah, Fall … how I’ve missed you. Welcome back!
How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.
– John Burroughs
It’s that wonderful time of the year when nature begins to quiet down and get ready for its slumber. The trees that have kept us shaded over the summer are now slowly drying up and the leaves are turning their glorious shades of brown, orange, red, and yellow. It’s the perfect time to ready our house with new decor.
One of the most beloved places in the home during this season is the fireplace. Children huddle near on cold mornings, drinking their hot cocoa as they ready for school. Then in the evenings, families enjoy the heat as they settle down for the night.Decorating the Fall mantel always brings out the best … pumpkins, apples, pears, tree branches, candles, mirrors, bottles, greenery, pictures, a bunting … you name it, we find wonderful ways of displaying our treasures on our Fall mantels.
I’ve gathered some Fall Mantel inspiration from around the web, most from the homes of my dear blogging friends. I hope that you take some time these next few weeks to enjoy the beauty around you!

Each Friday this month I’m celebrating Friday Friends Day where I have the honor of introducing you to a few of my blog friends that I know you will love as much as I do. Please take a few moments to stop by and say hello to these lovely ladies. They work hard every week to bring ideas, inspiration, and projects to their readers.
