How was your Christmas? We had a wonderful morning at home and spent the evening with friends.
Since the kids are older, there was no “rush” to jump out of bed to open presents. It felt good to sleep in a bit. We finally started opening presents around ten and finished cleaning up just in time to watch one of our Christmas day traditions … the Disney Christmas Day Parade. Then it was back to Hallmark Christmas movies for one last go-around while working in the kitchen, getting ready for dinner.
Last year we started a new tradition of teaming up with another family and hosting Christmas dinner for a couple of new families in our church. It was a wonderful way to get to know them and celebrate Christs’ birth together.
Well, Christmas is over, and it’s time to start planning and thinking about what the new year has in store. I am really excited for the new year … finishing up some projects from 2013 and beginning new projects.
